April is almost here.

I'm thinking about blogging daily in April. I don't know what the theme will be yet. Not that it matters, because we don't have to stick to it anyway. I'm just saying. I might want to blog daily in April. That's all I have. Here's a few of my favorites of the 217 photos I took yesterday.
Well, I guess it's not a few. It's thirteen. So just pretend I'm still doing Thursday Thirteen and this is for that.

What Logan and I did today.

What I did today.

I put down my first set of stone borders that will be next to the driveway. I decided I didn't want my stone retaining walls to be perfectly even and perfectly level. I have looked at hundreds of examples around town from perfectly level (using a level to install) to haphazardly thrown around a tree. I am not down for a perfectly manicured lawn with perfect borders. My yard will always be lived in, just like my house. I like things to look more natural. I have decided to go with the middle of the road and used eye leveling. I also went with some of the natural dips and curves. I did use sand to help with what leveling I did do. I'm happy with the results so far.

The big view.

My new tulips are starting to open.

A pretty little mixed bulb pot.

What Logan did today.

Dragging his tractor through the mud.

Trying to get past Isaac onto the road.

Slosh, slosh, slosh!

Driving through the puddles.

Falling off. (he did this several times).

Checking how dirty his hand got when he fell.

Picking up a rock.

Examining the rock.

January

Don't steal my snowman!

There is only one more day in January.
I'm really glad for that.
I am wondering, however, just where the time went.
It flew past.
I'm glad we didn't get snow.
Yeah for spring.
Only a couple of more months to go.

Alright, but I still really want it to be spring, now!

Even though I am really, really ready for spring, I still get a little excited when I see snow falling.

When I left work last night it was a little warmer than earlier in the day. It wasn't raining at the time, but it had rained a little earlier and things were wet. As I got about twenty blocks from my house I noticed it "started" snowing. Then, all of a sudden, I realized that the ground was covered in snow all around me and as I got closer to my house even the streets were covered in snow. So weird. No snow at all down town, but covered in snow at my house. It snowed off and on all night and then this morning it really poured some snow. Here's the pics.

Now, mind you, if you drive a couple of miles or so west and twenty blocks south, there is just a trace of snow, if any on the ground. Crazy. I live in a little snow belt, I think.
